For many families a holiday in the Algarve means more that
just go to the beach, swim and let your body get a nice tan.
Mostly the kids, full of energy, are looking for other
things to do while on holidays.
Please check out the following options:
Zoomarine Algarve
ZooMarine, one of the
great entertainment parks with lots of different things to
do and animals to admire. Located between Guia and Albufeira
and just a half hour’s drive from your apartment.
Lagos Zoo
Lagos Zoo with a
larga variaty os wild animals, birds, snakes and located
just above Lagos, near Bensafrim direction Aljezur.
Aqualand Algarve
Aqualand, A very
large waterpark with excited slides like the well know
Kamikaze and surf beach wave pool with real high waves.
Located between Guia and Armacao de Pera, direction
Alcantarilha on the Estrada Nacional 125. Just a 15 minutes
drive from Carvoeiro.
Slide and Splash
Slide and Splash
is another waterpark where your kids, but also yoy, can have
fun. Near Carvoeiro in Estombar, just 10 minutes from your
apartment. There is also a bus service to pick up and return
your kids.
Aquashow
And if that is not enough water and excitement, do visit the
Family Park Aquashow, just past Albufeira direction
Quarteira where it is also nice to have a stroll on the
promenade and to view people on the beach on one of the many
and cosy terraces.
Krazy World
Krazy World,
the name says it all, crazy adventures, thrilling
experiences but also a mini-golfcourse, a zoo and even the
possibility to rent a Quad!
Karting in the Algarve
Karting Algarve
for the real thing. Fast karts for the boys but also nice
adventures for the younger ones. You drive to Vale de Eguas
near Albufeira direction Almancil.
Fiesa sand-sculptures
Fiesa is known for its
huge sand sculptures, a real work of art and spoken about by
many.
Certainly worth a visit and to be amazed.
Mini Golf in the Algarve
Mini Golf
for the still inexperienced golfer. Algarve’s larges
mini-golfcourse can be found in the Vilamoura area. Do not
miss out on a visit to Vilamoura’s well-known Marina and
have a drink on one of the many terraces while enjoying the
view.
Carvoeiro itself is worth a further investigation. You will
be amazed by the beautiful sites like Algar Seco and the
great coastal rocks.
The best way to explore Carvoeiro is with the tourist train,
going as far as Rocha Brava in the east but also to
Ferragudo in the west, where the train will bring you to
visit end discover the quaint village to pick you up after
two hours en enjoyment.
Visit the Caves.
Time, waves and erosion have created the modt beautiful
caves in the Algarve coastal rocks. The caves can be visited
with smallish boats which will take you everywhere.
